You could make the order in layer of the player to 1 or 2. It should work. Or in the order of layer setting. you could setting liek this

But right now my midground behind the player, before i change the layers the midground in front of the player

If you want the midground to be in front of the player, just rearrange the sorting layers by swapping the position of midground and default, in the hierarchy of the sorting layers, layer 0 is the furthest behind and layer 3 or above will the foremost layer
